MONROVIA, Liberia – Africa Global Logistics (AGL) Liberia has reaffirmed its commitment to recognizing excellence and motivating its workforce by honoring outstanding employees during a colorful Employee Appreciation and Liberia's 179th Independence Day Celebration held Saturday at the Boulevard Palace Hotel in Sinkor.

The event brought together management and staff in a celebration that recognized exceptional performance, teamwork, and dedication while reinforcing the company's vision of becoming Liberia's leading logistics provider. The program also featured birthday celebrations for July-born employees and an exciting raffle draw, underscoring AGL's commitment to building a motivated and people-centered workplace.

Speaking at the ceremony, AGL Liberia General Manager Remi Ayikoue Amavi praised employees for their hard work and reminded them that they are part of one of the world's largest logistics companies.

He encouraged staff to take pride in their work, saying their professionalism and daily conduct should reflect the values of the global AGL family.

"You are part of a very big family," Amavi told employees. "Be proud of being part of Africa Global Logistics, and let your behavior reflect the values of this great company."

The General Manager challenged employees to embrace teamwork, continuous improvement, and customer-focused service, stressing that lasting success depends on innovation and collective effort.

He said while AGL is already recognized as Africa's leading logistics company, the goal is to make AGL Liberia the country's number one logistics provider through commitment, discipline, and quality service.

The highlight of the celebration was the recognition of Barbara J. Draper, who received the Best Employee of the Second Quarter Award for her outstanding performance, consistency, and commitment to excellence.

Receiving the honor, Draper described the award as the realization of a lifelong dream and dedicated it to her family, particularly her husband and children, whom she credited as her greatest source of motivation.

She thanked AGL's management for believing in her potential and providing an environment that has transformed her professionally.

"My life has been transforming since I joined AGL," Draper said. "Every day I look forward to coming to work because the company challenges me to think, make decisions, and become a better person."

Draper also encouraged her colleagues to remain committed to excellent customer service, emphasizing the importance of following up with clients and working collaboratively across departments to deliver quality results.

Welcoming guests to the celebration, Human Resources representative Lamb Toe described the occasion as recognition of employees whose dedication continues to drive the company's success.

She said the celebration reflected AGL's appreciation for the commitment, professionalism, and teamwork demonstrated by its workforce while encouraging employees to continue serving both the company and Liberia with integrity and excellence.

Also speaking, Clearing and Forwarding Manager Cephus Bartuah commended management for fostering a productive work environment and praised employees for their resilience and unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction.

He singled out Barbara Draper for her calmness under pressure, willingness to accept new responsibilities, and commitment to teamwork, describing her as a role model for other employees.

Bartuah reminded staff that customers remain the foundation of the company's success and urged everyone to continue delivering services that exceed clients' expectations.

The celebration concluded with a raffle draw, during which employee Numeh P. David won the grand prize, a brand-new vehicle in recognition of his contribution to the company.
